This method doesn't require any download or passwords.
Useful in hiding files if you are using a computer in your office where the I.T. department has administrator and root control on all PCs.

First, right click on the folder that you wan't to hide. Select Properties then Security. Click Advanced on the bottom right. You will see a checked box next to: Inherit from parent the permission entries... Remove the check and then click Remove and press ok, then click Apply. A message will appear "You have removed access to etc... Do you wish to continue?" Select Yes and that's it! If you click on that folder it will be inaccessible. To gain access again, put back the check that you removed on the procedure mentioned earlier.
